Yokohama Advan

Hey guys i got quoted $150 per corner for the yokohama advan 16s, anyone tried these tyres and are they any good?? I also got quoted, Kuhmo kh11 for $120, and $145 for toyo proxes. Let me know!

16" yoko advans are the stockies for ZRE ZR Corollas, they are decent but I've heard they are a bit soft. Wait for others to reply

Toyo Proxes? Which one?? 4, S/T II, ST, T1R, R1R??

Given the quoted price I think they are offering you the ST range, would be a bargain if it was the 4.

My experience with T1R was short, cause they didn't last too long themselves, alot of grip though.

Which one in the Advan lineup?

There are quite a few Advans, ranging from high performance to outright semi-slicks and slicks =)

If you're talking about the Advan AD07/AD08 Neovas, they're "Ultra High Performace" street tires, hence they're going to be very soft and focus on outright performance rather than any "comfort" so if you're after some comfortable, durable and reduced road noise, definitely NOT the tire you're after. Same goes for Bridgestone RE01-R and RE11s, same for most of the Ultra Performance Tires :)

can't go wrong with Toyo Proxes 4!

Very grippy, but I paid $240 per tyre.

Is the 215/40R17 an odd size? I got my Toyo Proxes T1R's in an odd size (195/50R16) for $215.

The T1R's are super grippy in both dry and wet. Though they are a bit on the soft end and will wear out pretty fast. It's also a rather noisy tire..

wait which yokohama advan u getting quoted at that price? A460? IMO go the Toyo proxes they are nice tyres and KU11's are crap...
