AE112R 2000 Corolla

Hello I was just wondering how to pass the positive lead in my Corolla AE112 sedan from the bonnet through the firewall of the car to pass to the back is there any hole that you can gain access to.

any help will be great

i passed my 4guage through the gromet where all the rest of the wiring goes through... on the passenger side, ends up under the glovebox.. ( needed to remove the glovebox )

By the way do you no how to wire the amp to the headeck if my head deck only has 1 RCA out on it. Would this matter as ill only be running the one am. If not what colour do I use on the amp the red or black RCA cable..

If your head unit only has the one RCA out, chances are it is a subwoofer output. This is all well and good if you only have the intention of running a sub with your amp. In this case, you just connect the single RCA from your head unit to the white RCA (left channel) on your amplifier. It is common practise to use the white RCA for mono. It appears you amp has black instead of white (which is fine), so connect to the black if this is the case.

If you plan on driving speakers with your amplifier, you will have to go and purchase a line out converter (also referred to as a high to low converter) to enable you to drive your amp from your current speaker outputs.

Hey I'm just running my sub off my amp which is a Sony xplod xm-zr604 but my head deck has only a brown RCA plug which is labeled subwoofer out on the plug and also in the manual.

So I guess I use any of the black or red RCA plugs that came with my wiring and plug it into the sub out on my head deck and the other end to my amps white RCA plug. Please correct me

if I am wrong

oh and btw do I need the REM cable aswell. Where do I connect that to on my head deck that is my only other problem?

yes this is what turns your amp on and off, just like a relay.... at the back of your amp you should have maybe a blue wire? it should be labled remote.. you can also hook up electric antenna's to this.. double check your deck wiring manual...

ok thank you very much for your help I checked in my manual for my system and realized that it is the one for my electric antenna and is also marked blue. I will have fun tomorrow trying to run the positive through my cars fire wall. I've ran the RCA and the Rem cable alreay so that's all good.
