i am not sure you will get a PFC for the 2zz to work on the 1zz evan.

You need to get a 1zz one, and they do exist. If there isn't one specifically for your model, the closest I can think is a US Celica GT which is a 7th gen with a 1zz.

myself and someone else i know, have tested to see how the car would react... only problem is we weren't sure what the A/F's were doing... so started the car, and had no problems with that, idle was fine, but yeah, didn't drive it anywhere, and other maps can be loaded onto a PFC anyways.

as much as i love my emanage, I don't think you can get more flexibility out of one than a full standalone ecu (eg. pfc, vipec, adpatroinc, etc)

fair call, but can someone remind me why i need a PFC if I'm not changing the lift point?

surely if the emanage takes out the dip before lift engages, the problem is corrected? I still get the benefit of a standalone with timing and fuel changes yes?

If you want to change lift later you can always add in a Camcon.

yeah the dip before lift kicks in is purely a timing thing... any experienced tuner can tune this out.

but bear in mind... to get decent gains on the 2zz you will require VVTLi tuning... the cam advance/retard is where the oomph will come from mate.... which is why i used a Vmanage in conjunction with the Emanage.

Evan, just make sure your aftermarket ECU has a trigger to work the supercharger clutch [and operates the VVL for that matter].
