I was having a good look at my car before washing waxing and I noticed a faint stain coming from the door handle. Checked the other doors and its the same. A mate of mine has noticed the same thing on his silver rolla as well and that the stains usually appear after it rains.

Anyone else notice this on their corollas as well? <_<

It would seem toyota went crazy town on greasing the door handle parts.

can it be removed easily with a bug/tar remover?

i havent noticed it there...but i have noticed a sitcky residue that comes from the tape holding on the CF look boot scoop in the hot QLD weather :(

use morning fresh and a toilet brush

Brandon - its a car, not a dunny ;)

Domestic detergents are actually too agressive for car paints, so I'd advise against using it anymore as you'll destroy to duco prematurely. Stick with a car designed formulation if you must use a detergent...

Nothing meguirs gold class car wash can't remove. Holding the door handle in the open position I can see some white grease on the bit that goes into the door. The door handle is plastic so obviously its for lubrication and not for rust prevention.

Typical of murphy's law, it rained while I was at work tonight. I'll have a look in the morning to see if the stains come back.

I have a mate who's a professional window cleaner. Hanging off ropes on high rise etc and he only uses morning fresh. It's good *****.

But I wouldn't use it on my car
