Rocket Cover

hey guys, i was wondering if i pulled my rocket cover off on my 05 sportivo if i would need to replace the gasket?

mmm do you mean the rocket cover for the anti nuisance vehicle missile system, located behind the headlights, (available only in the iraqi and afghanistan models) or the rocker cover that sits on top of the engine head?

Ever since camshafts took that giant evolutionary step out of the ocean (block) and onto land (head), us educated people have referred to them as cam-covers :P

and I only sold my 20th century encyclopedia because i thought i knew everything, pity we are in the 21st century now. :whistling:

I didn't

Neither did I; but you should use some Toyota FIPG (part #00295-00103) to go between the timing chain cover/cam cover/head interface to avoid leaks.

I finally have one on Hiro; the 2zz has rockers, so in this instance rocker cover is ok :P
