Completely Luurve my ZRE Conquest, but a bit worried about the big amount of black front pad dust on the alloys in a very short time, (I'm an easy driver).

I know many Euro cars brakes now have a very short life, soft pads AND rotors, both often requiring replacement in as little as 40k at a dealer cost of up to $1000. (Astra).

My ZZE had an awesome run on the front pads (half worn at 38k), can anyone tell me if the ZRE has gone the soft pad and rotor way, same as the euros...?? (Hope not).

09's seem to be quite firm, very minimal dust at all. Not sure if facelifts have a different pad.. I wouldnt think so but maybe?

it could possibly be the other way around... same rotor but a harder pad ie. sintered metal pads. They are alot more aggressive > giving far better braking at the expense of rotor life. Just a thought
