ZRE 152 Check Up

Ladies and Gents,

I am going with a friend to look at a 2007 ZRE 152 Corolla and I was just wondering if anyone could point out what I should specifically look at regarding problems or things that should have been replaced under warranty?

Heya HT,

I think some of the 07-08 guys have had left drive shaft and steering shaft replaced under warranty. Apart from that i dont think there is much else to worry about. John would know the full deal.

Only problems I have heard are front left drive shaft and intermediate steering shaft which I have replaced both. Not a recall but Toyota are aware of these two issues so depending if previous owner had it done,other than that then no,no major problems.

Being an 07 you might want to check the warranty left,if any..

I didnt have that problem, my problem with both shafts was clicking and knocking, driving was fine. Both probs were just as the car was moving off.

drive shaft was a recall on a certain batch of 07s, steering was a noise related problem "not dangerous" is what i was told

Thanks for the info gents.

She ended up buying the ZRE. I'll have to get them to check out with a Toyota Service Dept. if that was fixed under warranty.
