Hey guys,

On a bit of a budget this year due to family loss.

Still want to upgrade the look of my 08 ZRE Ascent.

Opinions of spray painting the stock wheel covers matte black please :)

you can also purchase black ones done if thats more appealing but hey , if it's going to give you some satisfaction doing it yourself i say go for it , just use the correct materials so that the paint lasts!

well Ive got a mate there so ill ask him.

I think spraying them myself would be more fun.

Maybe even cheaper?

prepping is very important when you paint something. Try to paint them in a dust free area, make sure you remove all wax/grease/dust before painting anything. When painting less is generally better. You're better off painting 7/8 light layers rather than 3/4 thick layers. Thicker layers can also run as well. They're pretty much all of my tips. have fun with the DIY!

Ive got a pressure cleaner, Ill give it a good clean after I sand it just to get rid of all the remaining paint.

For the sandpaper, should I use 800 grit wet and dry?
