Hi does anyone know how to change the button lights of a stock toyota head unit (2010 toyota's audio display unit)? What sort of LED lights do I have to get and from where? any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

May as well crack it open yourself and find out. If you are going to be willing to change them in the first place, I'm sure you should be able to spare the 30 minutes or so you need to take it apart and count up what you need.

So I've opened it up and had a look; bought the LEDs but don't think I have the skills to successfully change over the LED lights. Does anyone know of someone who can/ have experience and are located in sydney?

if my guess is correct, the LED lights should be of the SMD ones. the tiny tiny ones. when u bought the new ones u have to be careful about the angle of which the light shines as well. just use a normal soldering iron and use a flat head screw driver to flick out the leds. then just solder the new ones on, make sure the orientation is correct. (it wont blow up the circuit, the led just wont work)

good luck

Yeh they are the small smd LEDs. I need to change around 30 LEDs. I asked a local electrical repairer and he quoted $100 to change it!
