hey everyone,

If i have a towbar thats not a Toyota one, just some random towbar that the previous owner had got fitted, if i want to put on a rear skirt, if i remove the tounge piece, will the toyota rear skirt fit on? Or would i have to remove the whole tow bar?

I asked around my friends, and they said sometimes while fitting towbars, you need to get rid or modify mounts for the towbar to mount onto your vehicle, he also mentioned that for some cars they will remove the existing mounts on your car, and then put in special mounts made specifically for towbars to fit on. Does a corolla have special mounts also?

Hey Dazz,

Most, if not all, aftermarket towbars are made off the OEM measurements & specs so fitting a skirt "should not" be much of a problem.

Worst case scenario, simply remove the towbar altogether or, if you intend to keep using it, simply cut a hole in the skirt to accommodate the tongue
