Heck yeah! Now that's what I wanna see someone here do.

It's been attempted before. Apparently it can't be made street legal because the left hand chassis rail needs to be modified to accept the longer C60/64 gearbox.

what if you ran the 1ZZ gbox?

It would need custom ratios, or if you can mount the 6 speed's gears onto the 5 speeds shafts and leave 6th off. The 5 speed box will have you no where near lift on gear changes.

Mick, sounds like a good project :P

I'd like a 2zz yaris/echo too.
