i played with a mates samsung at work yesterday and it was soooooooo slow... omg, it was like using my first mobile phone (alcatel onetouch) all over again... albeit with pretty colours and fancy motions...

i think i'm gonna avoid the whole android scene until they pull their finger out and actually make a good one... :P

its a shame really, i was getting excited about playing with a new toy... lol

i suppose i'll just have to through money at the car instead...

I have been contemplating this topic for some time. I currently have an iPhone 3 (yes I know such a dinosaur!) and I'm torn between upgrading to iPhone 4 or switching to an Android based phone. I went to a phone shop and the guys there couldn't praise Android more and that I should definately get one. They said the Samsung Galaxy Ace was my best option, and were saying iPhone is going to be way behind, super-seeded etc. Even tho I'm more inclined to stick with iPhone purely because it's something I know & trust, but perhaps I should change to something "better"? Plus my other half just got an HTC Android and he thinks its great. I'm pretty bad at making decisions at the best of times and so far I'm still in no definate set mind of which to go for! Anyone got any specific pro's and con's of each they can shed light on for me?

Samsung Galaxy 5 is <>$150, rooted, unlocked and upgraded to 2.2, cheap way to dip your toe in the Android water.

I'm looking at a Sony Experia Play (PSP phone) next.
