Hi Guys,

Are the plastic hub rings that are fitted standard to Aurion metal wheels needed when you go to alloys?.

One tyre dealer said they throw them away immediately and another said I should always use them.

Opinions please.

Hub caps are meant for steel rims only. So yes when you do get rims you don't need them anymore.

I think you missed my point A Buff Hamster.

I am talking about the black plastic rings that fit on the hub to centre the wheel...not hub caps.

Anybody else help.

Depends. If you buy aftermarket alloys with the same size centre bore as your current steelies then yes, you will/can reuse those hubcentric rings.

If you buy aftermarket alloys with a 62mm centre bore however, you can leave those hubcentric rings attached to the old steelies as your new wheels will fit perfectly.
