Hey all,

I've got a short ram intake in my rolla (didn't see the sense in getting the CAI - Mine's an auto)

but the damned thing heats up quick coz its so close to the radiator pipe.

Any suggestions on how the shield the pipe and pod from engine heat?

i think u can get some sort of material to wrap around the tubing to prevent heat absorbsion, but i thinkthe main prob would be the filter, not sure what to do bout that

cheap **** way around this you'll need

1 X/large Milo tin $9

some flexi tubing from the hardware $12

ppl laughing at your now legal cold air intake pricless

if you got some spare cash lying around grab some mat black paint from a discount store and paint the tin black....It actually pulls heat away from the metal....

clever thing to do... take out the pod, toss it over the shoulder reinstall the air box.. ( you can mod the intake pipe and box to flow more air) and install a high flow pannel filter (even though your only achiving about a 1-2% gain) if you running a 1ZZ motor im verysure your ot maxing the air flow the standard box can supply to the motor.
