Hi was just wonder if people had seen projects to this hp . And what they were doing to get it .thanks

Very improbable*......yet I would like to hear what the max hp people have seen a 2zz at...and how they got there...

*anythings possible with enough $$$$$$!!!!

400hp is do-able on a 2zz.

Wiseco pistons

Darton sleeves

GT35 turbo

MWR rods

full ECU

Some head porting

255l fuel pump

return fuel system

probably need 800cc/min injectors

You'll have issues with the manifold as the power steering is in the way, but CES Racing built a manifold that avoided it before.

Probably about $20k on the engine and plumbing alone (if paying someone).

monkey wrench racing has a 823 front wheel horse power celica

and it has done 202 miles per hour on a straight

thats what money can do for you

there WAS a 208 fwkw turbocharged zzt231 in aust

there STILL is a 227 fwkw supercharged zzt231 in aust (and has more potentials)

Apparently the MWR manifold works for the RHD Celicas so long as you are happy to run a very skinny filter connected directly to the side of the turbo.

How about the 248fwkw Sportivo owned by our very own moderator Xoom?

USHP, so can reduce it by 10-20% to be more realistic. Still impressive though.

Yeah was wondering about those piper cams . And how they go .

They have more overlap than the stock cams so don't tend to hold the pressure in as well. But that said they have more lift so can let more in. I'd go with stock cams if I was going FI.

Essentially the same engine and drive-train though so wouldn't make much difference...
