Hi everyone,

I'm wondering if anyone encountered an unfortunate incident where your Aurion was stolen?

I know insurance is a must but how reliable is the Aurion's security feature? I'm aware there is an inbuilt immobiliser do i have to install an alarm system on top of that?

It's reliable enough to stop someone from simply 'hot-wiring' it. The alarm does not protect against glass breakage however so someone can easily smash a window and steal whatever they can within reach. The only time the alarm will set off is if you have locked your car and someone forcefully unlocks it and opens a door or the bonnet.

Alarms only really stop honest people though. I have had to break into my old car a couple of times and people just walked by and watched as I proceeded to lift the bonnet and disable the alarm.

If ur model is presara and you're subscribed to the toyota link system, it's pretty secure from what I heard.

If not, u can upgrade ur security system to an aftermarket one so the sensitivity level is upgraded. I haven't heard any1 did this in aus, but there are heaps in asia.
