Climate Control Cable Help

Hey

Does anyone know where i can get the cable below.

I accidently ripped it now the climate control lights wont work.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks

As parts like that typically live inside devices, getting them can be a bit tricky. You typically need to contact the manufacturer of the device. Does Denso build those units? If so, you can try your luck and see if they might be able to help, but I wouldn't imagine it being easy.

Alternatively, those cables are known as 'Flixible Flat Cables' and if you can count the conductors (it looks like 14 to me, but you need to confirm that) and can measure the spacing, then you may be able to source it externally. They may not be the exact length, but you can probably work around that.

i may have a spare one soon as i have two entire fascias but im not really keen to wreck a good unit for it's cable

Yeah its 14 pins. Ill probably give toyota a buzz tomorrow and see if they sell it cos i rather get it straight away than wait for it on ebay.

Not saying not to ask, but don't get your hopes up. It's like rocking up to your local Telstra dealer and saying you need a replacement screen for your phone. It's not something they deal with.

The EPC doesn't break down to the level where it shows a single cable, so I'm 99% sure the toyota parts department wont be able to help you without selling you a whole control module:

The code is sumitomo-y awm 2896 80c vw-1 14 pin if this helps.

i can get you an old bashed about climate control unit for $75 from a wrecker, where abouts is the cable? is it inside going to the screen? ill see if i can get just the cable....

Cheers Daniboy for the help. It would be great if u can get just the cable. If you cant then i just keep looking around for one.

You can see the cable when u open the climate control to change the light bulb.
