7afe turbo

Recommended Posts

G'day to everyone,

Yesterday I bought one of the factory turboed 7afe engines (basically a front cut with the whole exhaust thrown in as well) from a wreckers in Moorabbin, Victoria. Lucky for me the previous owner has already done all the mods I would have already done to it. ie replaced the IHI turbo with a Garrett AR.48, exhaust manifold was replaced with a custom professionally made unit and the exhaust is big enough to put your foot in all the way through. I intend to slot this into my 2001 AE112 body which has a perfectly good aspirated engine in it. The only thing I need is some insight into is whether the auto that is currently in my car can handle the turboed engine. And until I get it into the car, I can only guess as to what power it is making. I am assuming better than the 115kW stock. I drive 133kms per day on a single lane highway and I wanted extra power to be able to overtake without having to plan 10 seconds in advance. This engine should fix that problem. Oh and in case you're wondering, I paid $1000 for it. So if anyone has some helpful advice, I would be interested. Thx Daz.post-26163-0-35605800-1319107268_thumb.jpost-26163-0-26193800-1319107286_thumb.j

It comes with the turbo ecu, so it has all the relevant mapping. It also has the ignition key and immobilizer module. Basically a front cut.
