After market fog lights & rims

Hi everyone

I was thinking of buying some after market fog lights but most that are sold online do not come with installation instructions.

Does anyone have any instructions or install diagrams/pdf's or anything that might help?

I have a 2010 camry altise.

Also, the current rims/tyres are stock (215/60 R16), can anyone recommend an 18" or 17" rim and tyre size that won't mess up the speedo reading too much? I've used online tyre size calculators but I was hoping to get better insight from fellow camry drivers.

I'm a bit of a noob at all this so i apologise if it has been covered in another thread. Thanks in advance for any help/tips/advice. Cheers.

L bought after market "oem" fogs for my 2007 Altise from USA on ebay and had an electrician do the install. $120 for install with a rocker switch, 70 aud for lights and about that for postage. Very happy. Rocker switch was install in the dash blank on the rhs of the steering wheel below the ignition. Kit came with bulbs, relay, wiring and bezels as well. Cannot recall supplier sorry.

Thanks for all your replies.

I haven't got any rims yet but will probably stick to something like 225/45/18.

On another note, has anyone installed daytime running lights (LED) on their camry? Like a LED strip or something?

Be aware 225 tyres are expensive!

How much work are you going to do with the fogs? As in are you going with the factory look or are you going custom? You can go custom projectors + HID's

Don't think i'll go custom with the HIDs. Probably just buy a set of fogs from ebay or something. I just think the 2 small gaps in the front bumper needs something there. I like the look of fogs, just annoying they dont come with wiring diagrams etc.

Or even just adding daytime running lights (where the fogs would normally go) and have something there a bit like how the new VW golf has them. Just a thought.

The problem with aftermarket foglights is that they don't look good, and are hard to fit without cutting/screwing your bumper not to mention the wiring. If you really like to have it i'd try and see if you can get oem one from wreckers and go from there.

DRL on a camry won't suit.

Btw, why didn't you get model with foglights eg Sportivo in the first place if it's one of the things you like to have?

no not really , i've seen one around bankstown , looks mean sounds deadly !!

it always depends on how the person pictures the design / look ! AND as long as you dont go over board

@aem: At the time i needed a car, my friend was selling his car as he was moving to another state so i bought his car. So it was more out of necessity rather than choice. But after looking online the car has potential and i started to like the look of fogs on it. So yeah, that's why i didn't get a sportivo (or similar) that already comes with foggies.

Was looking at something like the ones on ebay where they slot right into the bumper but the wiring looks difficult to do on my own.

@simply: yeah i agree, nothing over the top. Just a small mod to make the car look a little different.

Would anyone have any pics of camry (year 09/10) model with DRL's? Can't find any online.....maybe it's just something people don't do to their camry!!
