Hello guys. I need your advice in terms of exhaust system. Here in Germany there is only the Auris with 1.6 liter engine (ZRE 151). The sub-floor assembly including exhaust system should be identical with your Auris.

Which brands would you recommend to me in terms of exhaust system. What I'm looking currently on the market is seeing a Cat back system with muffler like the picture.

Do you know any online stores where I can buy this system? How is the quality?

There used to the system of C-One, which is produced but not anymore.

How it looks with Kakimoto?

Thanks a lot and again greetings from Germany

Hey Marc,

Welcome to the club. Generally here we use custom exhaust makers to manufacture a full system from the Cat-Back, or Cat-to-Axle , adding a Japanese Axle-Back system from there. I dont think Ive seen many mid pipes from any other Japanese tuning houses. Most Japanese manufacturers only do Axle-Back mufflers with the pipe only going to the rear axel. TRD, Kakimoto, etc.

I could almost imagine. Do you know any shops where I can see prices or order the Kakimoto?

Here in Germany there is unfortunately no shop sells the Kakimoto. Therefore, I must hope that you know a shop

We like to use a few "brokers" here in Australia to source our parts. One "shop" that will be able to find Kakimoto axle backs for you is RHDJapan.com They are very helpful, just send them an email and see if they can supply it for you. Also Nengun.com is another place that will source product for you.

I really think i have to send them an Email ( RHD Japan )

At the Moment I am searching through the Kakimoto Racing Parts and the only 2 Parts they have are for the Vitz and the Supra

There is nothing for the Auris ..... Nengun exacly the same !?

Thats correct, I have checked both and none have Auris exhaust on their site at the moment.

Just email either of them, and request the Kakimoto exhaust, quote the part number i listed above and they will get it in for you.

Also, another member here "Speed Chaser" is another European member, i think he also has a few contacts in Europe that can order in Japanese products. Perhaps give him pm and see what he can do.

Yesterday I was on the website of Kakimoto and honestly I am a little disappointed? The GT Box and Rev Box only kicks 89 decibel ... that isn very loud: (

Do you know any youtube sound clips from the Kakimoto exhaust on the Auris?

Edited by TrAxX

Thats 89dB with the stock exhaust system in place. If you remove the "torpedo" the dB will rise alot.

If you remove the big torpedo ( bottom piece):

.. and run a system with just a small resonator, like this:

Fullexhaust.jpg

The sound will be much louder, much higher than 89dB.

If your going Kakimoto cannon muffler, be prepared to be deafened. Wasnt it rated at 120dbs? No thanks <_<

Do you have any links to this " cannon " muffler ?

Thanks Dutchie for your help.

A friend of mine has his own Tuning Shop and he told me that Kakimoto is well known in the Honda Scene.

To get over 100 DB i think i have to temove the " torpedo " :P

I´ll send an Email to Nengun and RHD the next days to get some Prices and Trade Infos.

Thanks Guys for your help , especialls Dutchie !!!

I hope that both Kakimoto Systems are not discontinued because I like the Cannon with the Fireball Design very much. In Fact that my Auris is a new Car , I need a bolt on System and not some of thise Uni **** ;)
