Hi,

I have a new, as in not yet three months old, 2012 Toyota Corolla Ascent Sport Hatch. Today both the key fobs stopped operating to lock the doors.

I can lock the door with a key & open them with either key fob, so its not a battery thing.

Any suggestions what might have gone wrong?

thanks

Priscilla

I'd head to the dealer. Seeing as the car is new, I'd suggest they would sort out the issue.

Did you change your headunit ? Or touch any wires behind the headunit ? Because this is what happen to my car and I made sure all my wires on the back of my headunit was right and I found that the light blue wire was connected to the grey wire and that stopped my remote key from working . So I just connected the blue wire by itself with the head unit wiring and left out the grey wire out . Hope this helps .

OP, it sounds like your hatch isn't closed properly. If all the doors or hatch aren't closed properly (i.e. half ajar), the vehicle won't lock with the remote fobs.
