200K Service

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I'm about to do a 200K service on a Toyota Corolla Levin 2003 model. I would appreciate any advice on where you get your cheapest oils/fluids/parts from:

- Is 5W-30 the way to go or 10W-30 or 40 would be just as fine? (I use 5W-20 in my HEMI as it's the recommended stuff)

- Oil filter

- Spark plugs and wires

- Air filter

- Brake fluid

- Coolant (should I do a half flush or a full flush, if a full flush should be done, how do you access the engine bolts?)

- Transmission fluid

Also, do I have to replace the timing belt/chain??? The service book doesn't say anything about it so I'm not sure about that one.

The car also idles a bit too high, regardless if it's on a cold start or if it's been running all day. This is really noticeable in park or neutral or even when sitting at traffic lights. It also vibrates when in these situations, very noticeable on the steering wheel.

Thanks.
