Hi All

Have just got myself the above camry very happy, but have noticed something strange, a friend informed me that one of my tail lights is out

on checking sure enough no drivers side tail light Both brake lights fine, first port of call change bulb no good, anyway looked a bit closer and the driverside bulb holder only has a couple of wires connected while the other has various wires.Suggesting that there is no provision for the driver side tail light only a brake light. this all looks as if it came from the factory wired this way (lookes like the previous owner has not played with it) thought for a moment i had activated rear fog light but no switch for this. any ideas suggestions am I missing something. Many thanks in advance.

i see no 3rd brake light

That was quick, no just have the lights switched on if I step on the brakes all brake lights operate, dont understand why drivers side light does not illuminate as the brake light is made up of two filaments stop and tail light

Thanks

Mick

I changed bulbs no different, not sure of my next step maybe a trip to th auto electricians.

Could be the actual fitting that the bulb sits in. try jiggling the fitting while the light should be on and see if it comes on at all.

If it does, replace the fitting. A good wrecker won't even charge you for them.

fitting seems suspect not he same as passenger fitting and bulb fitting is different still wedge but probaly main dealer bulb will investigate further thanks all for taking the time to help

Thats probably a JDM type bulb fitting: in which comes stock for USDM models.

Driving/reverse taillights are a t10. Stop light is a t20.

What do you mean it is 'different'?
