Hi I have a Prado Snowy. 1999 model which I'm having trouble starting with the ignition and the only thing that seems to make it start is moving the gear selector through park drive and reverse etc while I have the ignition turned on. I have checked the battery and cables and have had a new battery and starter motor. I tend to think it is something to do with a electrical switch and the auto selector. Any suggestions would be great thanks.

Not that familiar with Prado's specifically. Possibly either attached to the transmission selector module or the to the transmission itself.
