Window Tints 20%

Hey guys

Anyone in Sydney recommend a window tinter that will do 20% tints and have lifetime guarantee?

Preferably someone close-ish to North Shore OR that comes to me

Also does anyone know what % tint comes in?

can i get any percentage or do the films come in set increments? is it 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 etc or something different?

usually any tint place will do whatever level you want, 10%, 20% etc as long as it's a cash job and you dont want a receipt. It's not legal for the business to fit a car with tint that is less than 35% to a road registered car as the tint makes the car unroadworthy (also voids your insurance). So when they do the illegal tint, they dont put the sticker under the film with the tint level, and dont provide a receipt so it can't be traced back to their business.

I've been quite pleased with the darkest looking 35% 3M film on my last 3 cars, looks darker than most.

If you go to a tint shop, they should have a display setup with all the different types of film you can get, just pick the darkest and keep the car roadworthy.

darkest legal is 35%

do you have tint-a-car in sydney? caus i got quoted for 20% tint at tint-a-car here in melb last week for $280. If they dont give u a reciept tho they should be able to do it cheaper than that you'd think...not sure about the lifetime guarantee though

i think my window naturally have 80% so a 35% tint will make it a bit less

hey if i can be of assistance please feel free, i have owned a few Sol-ace shops over the years, since selling them in may last year, im still doing tints , whether its 35% or 20% your choice on my landcruiser i have %20

but i have 28% with a receipt and all the rest of it

reason for this is there light machines have a certain % leway for erra so going slightly darker than 35% is ok but maxum 7%

as for 20% they are legal on utes cus they are classed on commercial vehicles

but i have 28% and it looks fine although i would love to have it darker cus it looks good from the out side

its already a pain driving on a rainy night even without window tint

imagine how hard it would be with 20%

huners hill tint. in east ryde/hunters hill. VERY cheap and VERY GOOD tint and a nice guy overall.

ive got 15% its pefrect. 28% is a comprimise. you can getthe whole car done for ~150-180.

yeh i got mine done by rob as well. I got 18% but got charged $220 which is still very cheap in my opinion. Ye very good bloke and very fast window tint. In n out in 1 hour
