Hi there, Im the new owner of a second hand 2004 Toyota Rav4 and Im so happy with it. I would have loved a new one but thems the breaks. I love the Rav4, it seems perfect in so many ways!

I had a Hyundai Excel for many years and although it was a great little car it has nothing on the Rav.

First thing Im doing is having a go at swapping the stereo system myself (gulp) but from what I can see it looks pretty straight forward.

Im looking forward to learning a little more about the Rav4 on this site and will be grateful for any help I get along the way. :)

Thanks guys!

Well stereo system swapped quite easily and all functions work well, ie voice activation, blue tooth etc but even with the manual we cannot work out how to display the time on the screen. It seems it should be such a simple thing to do

Instructions say to hold down seek 'up' and the fourth function button from the left at the same time but all that happens is the radio station is selected.

The radio is a PZQ60-00511 and was taken from a 2012 Toyota (not sure what make unfortunately). No sat nav if that helps.

I'd like to ask on the forum if anyone has any hints on what to do, but Im not sure of the best place to post? thanks Rachel
