Here is the new beast... the 4Runner is for sale (take a look at it here)

2010 150 Series Prado GX

It came with;

64,000kms

Bullbar (I am unsure of brand, did some searching and could not find one that looked like it)

TJM 9000lb winch

TAG Towbar

I got it home and fitted

9in Hella Spotlights (with HID bulbs)

Second Battery (AC Delco 830cca - one I had spare, seeing if it fits)

If someone can tell me what bull bar that is that would be great!

The Back, ive since removed the plastic bit around the spare.

  • 4 weeks later...

Installed my UHF this weekend... and made a little bracket to hang my handset (slips in behind the aircon controls so I did not have to molest the dash

second battery kit is wired in now...

ABR Sidewinder 140A dual battery controller (hidden down beside the starting battery)

Second battery installed, wires connected (still needs a bit of cleaning up, I wont bother until I finish connecting accessories to it.

I used a generic supercheap battery tray, slightly modified to re-locate the aircon line.

HIDs are now installed... here is a compassion of color difference.

I just have to replace those horrible bull bar lights and the LED/HID conversion is complete.... all of the other lights are LED

got my custom switches today... and a 12v socket

wksH60Dl.jpg

I had to make some modification to the panel to get them to fit (file out the top of the holes, remove lip inside) But they fit OK.

they don't actually cover too much of the factory switches below... they are still easily usable.

They have a green LED for back lighting and a red LED to indicate if they are on or not.

I wired in my spotlights (after having them on the car as decoration since I purchased it) The relay situation is pretty sketchy though. (old relay I found in the shed held in with a zip tie, haha)

However, the spotlights are working and match the color temperature of the headlights (kind of a crappy pic but you get the idea)

I plan to buy some of these (relay with inbuilt fuse)

and some of these bases (click together with screw hole)

http://www.aliexpress.com/item/auto-relay-socket/566543531.html

to have a little relay/fuse board for all of my switched circuits.

I also got my LED bull bar lights today, I will install these this afternoon.
