The best car to drive the Autobahn (Germany)

Hi guys!.

I'm planning to make a quick tour for Europe and one of the things I want to do is to drive the Autobahn in Germany and if possible a couple of laps in the Nürburgring. As you know there are some parts of the Autobahn where you can drive as fast as the traffic conditions allow it. This mean, noone on the road = no speed limit!

So I've been investigating which car I would rent, but I found out that are limited up to 250km/h.

Seems to be that cars have to be limitated to 250 by law. But do you know if is there any cars without the limiter?

Which car would you go for?

Nah... Just to experience high speed driving (legally). If I want to do it in any other place would be ilegal.

So, which would be the weapon of choice?

Merc or BMW are probably gonna be the choice. Which model depends on your budget

I have driven the autobahn and it's nuts what some of the speeds some drivers do

Merc SL600

BMW 645i

The choices are limitless, but I say stick to a big heavy cruiser that's capable of maintaining high speeds for lengthy periods. For me I'd love to take the in-laws' S500 down the autobahn heh.
