They're doing him a favor, a really big one. Since the owner said he will do up his ford on his own, with the thing that holding him back is the skill and the cash, so they leave it for him to do it himself. Instead, they give him a new car and leave his old car for him to play around when he is ready.

Isn't that nice.

Its very nice, absolutely, but it kind of takes the fun out of it ... the point is to see the transformation from "bomb to da bomb" as the ad says.

But they're obviously a generous bunch.

Yeh they shouldn't have shown that as a the first episode as the Australian viewers were getting the wrong idea about the show. But they showed another 2 and they were awesome!

Damn, they're not showing it next week :(

In the whole of the 2 seasons i have watched on MTV, they have only ever given two people brand new cars. 1 was the guy last night, and the 2nd was a 19yo guy who had a ****ty old Escort, that was actually two different Escorts welded together real dodgy like. So it was too unsafe to pimp his ride. They brought him a brand new Toyota dB.

my girlfriend watched it with me and now she is VER keen to get her lisense and a car to pimp herself... she understands why I mod my car a little more now ;)
