Hi,

sorry to bother all of you, but I thought you guys can help. I have a 1987 corolla sr5 coupe, in which the key wont go in without a battery. At least that is the current case, but anyhow, have any of you guys/girls seen this kind of behavior from this year of toyotas. Or know of such a "security" system if that is the case. Please e-mail me if you do. Thankyou.

You meant, you cannot unlock the door if the car has no battery?

no, i mean i the key wont fit unless there is a battery. It wont fit in anywhere, like it is not the key at all.
