coilover would be better

he just said that coilovers arent low enough for him

so in this case, bags would be better

what brand coilovers were you looking at?

think some brands have a certain amount of teeth on the coil, only allowing them to lower to a certain amount.

he would be talking about king springs etc, they only lower it upto 40mm, whereas coilovers can go over 100mm. My coils hace lowered it like 60mm and nowhere near maxed out

yeh kings lower the front about 4 and the rear about 5. this ride on springs is pretty stupid tho, theres pretty much no dampening at all.

yeh with coils u can dump it to the ground if you like. i've got like another 15cms of thread on the coils left and i'm already 7-8cmc off the ground

ahh, didnt see springs, thought he was mentioning the springs on coils,

Hey guys I don't want air bags ... The low springs they sell here is 30mm drop think that's the brand called cobra springs... I want some other brand that can go at least 40 to 50mm drop..think few months back on ebay.au I saw kings springs think that was 45mm but wasn't sure which model aurion ...coil overs bit outta my price range plus if I buy that I gotta pay extra $550 for a (LVV) LOW VOLUME CERT...

ooooh, care to elaborate on this "low volume certificate"

Pretty sure he said he was in NZ, would be something just for there. This may sound odd because it freaked us out. When we got some lowered springs for my ZR6 we measured it before and after install. We had superlow King springs which said would drop the car 40-50mm lower. After install there was a difference of 112mm

Yeap don't worry it's just for New Zealand cars need LVV ..112 faaaark ..how much for super low for my aurion is Aussie ? For a whole set

Posted

Oh yeah that's algood is there a shop or website I can contact some one please?i really wanna get a set super lows

kings springs do a good drop, i believe pedders springs drop about the same too, except the springs are a little softer than the kings, so you would get a much better ride quality. also the pedders sit a lil higher in the rear.

Fyi guys, cops are cracking down in QLD for lowering. My sx6 is 7.5cm off the ground, got pulled over 3 times in 2 weeks for it.

Is the $113/$345 fine (if you get a grumpy cop) every time you're pulled over, really worth a crazy low ride on a family sedan?
