I'm looking at installing a 12V power socket in the boot of our 2014 Camry Atara S and just trying to work out the best way to get power in there.

I'm thinking of picking up power from the center console cigarette lighter socket and running the cable around the side kick panels into the boot and mounting a surface mount cigarette socket under the parcel shelf.

Main thoughts for picking up power here is that its switched on/off with the car ignition and is 'fused' on the correct fuses for future fault diagnosis etc. Of course I'll pop a inline fuse on the run to the rear of the car etc.

But was mainly wondering if there was any easier place to pick up power before I start to pull the car apart!

Thanks

Have look right in the tail of the boot. Not 100% sure with your model but there is sometimes power in there for trailer harnesses, etc.
