IAT sensor

Recommended Posts

the type of MAF sensor that's in the car is a hot-wire MAF.

it's called a hot-wire coz a literal hot-wire is heated. and when air flows thru it. the hot-wire will cool down. the more air flowing or colder air flowing thru it will result it cooling more. more power is sent to heat up the wire so it can maintain a certain temperature. air flow is then measured with the increase of voltage. the IAT is in there with the hot-wire or next to it.

i'm quite sure that's how it works.

hey guys

im did a search and looked through the service manuals

and dont think i can find which one is exactly the IAT sensor

is it that blue plug? or the one it connects to?

does anyone know?

What year model make are you referring to? The IAT sensor is usually located at the MAF sensor. Some models even have it located in the engine air cleaner cover.
