Hi Guys, My main ignition key (98 Camry) is well worn and although I have a spare, I would like to get a new key.I know I can purchase a new key blank (with integrated transponder chip) on the internet, and I can get it cut by a local locksmith but I don't know how to program it. I understand the method is different for different models. Can any one give me the instructions ?

There are a heap of videos on Youtube of how to do it. I will likely vary on model and key type.

Type in: "toyota transponder key programming" and you should find one that is applicable, although it may not be specifically for your model.

Here you go.

Keys from Toyota aren't that expensive but another option is getting a new key shell cut TO CODE ( DO NOT GET A COPY OF YOUR WORN KEY) and then cut the transponder chip out of your existing key.
