thats through tempe right .. ive seen them ..

the white with the blue writing is not bad either ..

im not sure i can trust them though..its the blue writing on the black that caught my eye for some reason...

Also, i would be wary of Tempe tyres, they look like top deals...but the wheels they supply are generally mediocre quality and the tyres the supply with the packages are $hit.

You are better off paying a few hundred more, getting some decent, long lasting, rice free 17's with a good set of tyres, personally i think the tyre is far more important than the wheel, the wheels are just for looks, don't forget this. If you want something you can jack off over, then buy some 19" chromies (if that is what floats your boat) and some piece of $hit budget tyres that will send into the first telegraph pole you come across once you drive out of the tyre joint.

They look neat.

Wheels with a dark center and polished rim is THE new look. The more dish you can get, the better.

I don't see how "race style" rims wouldn't suit a sportivo.

I quite like those rims, I'm looking at a similar design but in bronze for my silver sportivo too. But the ones I'm looking at are higher quality (damn expensive too)

And the tyre can always be replaced, or buy without tyres save a couple of bucks and take the rims to a real tyre dealer.

saw the exact same wheels on ebay brand new .... k speed is the brand i think.... at an ebay shop called wheels online... they come in a gold too and i reckon they're sexy rims....

if you like them go for it...

well it comes down to if you like it ..

they definately caught my eye when I first came across them ...

and yes you can just buy it without the rubber... or change rubber after the crappy ones wear out !

as long as you are happy with them .. coz your the one driving them !

Another thing to check is that these rims come in the correct offset for the corolla. I assume they are 7" wide so they will need to be +45 or +43 (then you shouldnt have any problems with rubbing) :)

i've gota silva rolla too and IMO quite like those rims. i got a set of k-speed from Tempe too (k-speed circlar dark bronze)

Tempe is not bad. just be smart with them cause they will usually always give you lower quality tyres if you ask for a better price. ask what tyres you will get first hten ask for the discount. :D

I got a set of Nankang tyres. after driving around with them for a week (after they're scrubbed in) they are not that good. they are not terrible either but compared to the stock Toranza tyres they are crap. until they're scrubbed in they seem to float on their treads alot.

now, they are noisey through corners (due to the tread pattern). Turn-in is not too bad but they are by no-means a performance tyre. so it's up to you what you want.

like some of the others said, you can take the wheel to a better tyre shop if that's what you want.

P.S glad to see others voicing their honest opions. the last thing we want is everyone blowing sunshine up our a*rse everytime we ask for an opinion. :)

Are you serious, I didn't realise that your car had to do the quarter mile in a certain time before I could put light weight race rims on my car. Here I was thinking that if I lightened my car than maybe I would get a bit better performance, maybe the secret to better performance is putting a 6" canon out the back of my car & then weighing it down with a whole bunch of doof doof gear. Or maybe I should spend $100 dollars on spark plugs, now that's the way to increase performance

Can you tell me how fast I have to be before I can use race style rims. If I'm not fast enough I will have to sell my rims.

I have Bridgestone Potenza GIII 215/45/17 & on Enkei RP03 Light weight forged rims. I think these tyres are excellent. On top of giving good grip wet & dry they wear very well. They may be twice as much as cheaper tyres but they last twice as long & give better grip.

Also, if you are serious about performance then your wheel choice is just as important as your tyre choice. My suggestion is you find the lightest wheel you can in the style you like & if you can afford it I would buy forged rims over cast. I also think that a race style rim looks far better on the Corolla than any type of Bling Bling rim. Chromies only really suit expensive Euro's done in Pimp Style.

Rims are very personnal choice for your vehicle & everyone has there own idea of what looks cool.

Be careful that the rims are strong too, last thing you want is a cracked rim. sometimes its worth paying that little bit extra.

I would go the darker ones, then paint your calipers silver or yellow to set it all off.

Remember with the big dish that it will look smaller.. so people will think u have 16s even if u get 17s..

      It's possible that it could be something fouling or dirt build up, dry, or a broken mechanism, so have a look and give the mechanism some lubrication, most likely though, it'll be the actuator.       Query about the correct rotors for 2006 ACV40 Camry.

      Hi, I'm looking at a set of front rotors for an ACV40 2006, 2.4L Camry. I got a good price on some RDA's at Sparesbox. However both RDA8112 and RDA7686 show as for my car and I'm wondering what the difference is and if there were changes to the rotors during the model production. So does anyone know which rotor is the correct one? Many thanks in advance.

      Your solution is akin to suggesting that switching to a different car manufacturer would resolve the issue. However, not everyone shares the same enthusiasm for using an iPhone as you do.

      Turboed Corolla Overbuilt?

      that engine will be fine, the rods are the main thing to be concerned about. The 2860 is a decent turbo for the 1zz but in this day and age I'd go for a G25-550. The injectors might be on the small side, we run DW1000's. You need a full length injector, the shorter injectors with adaptors like ID1050x dont fit the 1zz head. You don't need an aftermarket intake manifold, if you do go down that path, avoid the CNC innovations unit, it's garbage. Do the boost control with a MAC valve and control it with the aftermarket ECU of your choice, I use Link stuff on most of my builds with the G4x Storm as the minimum. I also wire a fuel pressure sensor and oil pressure sensor to the ECU in my installs. Use a decent intercooler, the better cores (ARE, PWR, Garrett, Vibrant, Plazmaman, Hypertune) work a lot better than the chinese stuff like Aeroflow. a 450x250-300 fits fairly well with custom end tanks to route the cooler pipes through next to the radiator Don't forget about the clutch and gearbox. These days I like the Uniclutch twinplate, Above 300whp you'll want to think about upgrading the 3rd and 4th gears in the box also with the SSC (Hollinger) gear set and install an LSD of your choice. If you're going to give it a hard time, you'll also want an oil cooler. I like the HKS thermostat type sandwich plates and setrab or mocal oil coolers with -10 speedflow fittings/lines (Chinese AN fittings neck down to a lot smaller internal diameter in their bends, not great for flow) You'll also want to think about brakes, Celica or Sportivo front calipers will bolt on with sportivo discs as a starting point. To have somewhere like Tunehouse do the work you'll want to budget somewhere between 20-40K

      I did the mathematics myself regarding costs vs benefits for fuel injector cleaner. I have changed from 91ULP to 95PULP and 98PULP. Price difference can be about 13 -20 cents. Compared to 91ULP, Premium quality fuel should have a better quality additive package designed to have superior engine cleaning capabilities so the engine can perform at their best.

      Camry Touring 2010 A/C Issues.

      Hi Guys, My Camry 2010 Touring just had a regas done on it and the next day for some reason it wasn't blowing cold air but the next day it is now working with nice cold air BUT every now and then we can hear and feel a like a buzz for a few secounds and today while my sister took my I could her like a mild knock sound when stopped but goes away when driving. Any idea what this could be and the A/C is always working now for now.

      High idling on the 2zzge even when warm (solved!)

      i am in sydney, just got 1992 tarago, same problem, 2k idle speed when engine warm, changed the whole throttle body, ECU, still same, help pls in sydney 0405987988
