okay i am a complete n00b on this model of car  i have been give in great shape so i like to keep it for a few years. but the radio is the only thing letting me down in this car. so please can some tell me how the hell you remove it?.

 

damn everything on every site shows me every model of car but this lovely beast.

I'd imagine you pry off the inserts around the radio and then simply unscrew the mount to it, pretty simple man

yes very much as Chain said..carefully remove the trim surround and it should be straight forward after that..remember the word's "carefully remove" as they can go SNAP very easy

Sorry if you follow above you either break something or go no where. 

Forget about the area around the radio. You pull out the the section around the vents around the hazard button. You might find yanking a gap open then using a flat screwdriver help to release the tabs. 

Then remove 2 bolts which hold the radio

so the vents area starting point then see where that leads. thanks.

so i did start there so far i have heard a coulple of  metal clips go missing. ah well see where they turn up with i finish pulling it apart.

i just had a guy from JB HiFi remove it when i bought my new headdeck.
