Toyota Aurion Whirrinng Noise

Recommended Posts

I bought a brand new 2016 Aurion 3 weeks ago and mine is making a Wirring type noise, moreso when it's 1st started , even at idle and you give it a small rev
you can hear it , it's loud enough to ***** you off.... The mechanic at the toyota dealership said it's fine, if it gets worse bring it back. It should not make any noise at all.
The one I took for a test drive did not make any noise , another reason I bought the car. I have no idea

As I stated in my post , I have had it back to the dealership yesterday 26 / 7 / 2016 and the mechanic that looked at it said , it doesn't sound like it's anything bad , doesn't sound like a pulley or a belt , just keep driving it and if it gets worse bring it back. The point is , IT SHOULD NOT BE MAKING A NOISE. I will take it back to them tomorrow

An update about the Whirring noise. I have had the car back 3 times now about this noise , the dealership owner took it for a drive and his reply, all Aurions make this noise, it's ok , keep driving it. The salesman that sold us the car said, it's all in the new 6 speed gearbox ( the car makes the noise in park )
I genuinely HATE my new toyota.

Don't hate your Aurion..I would suggest trying another Toyota dealership..our Presara is so dam quiet you forget it's running half the time..whatever the noise is is NOT normal..and it is up to them to sort it out to your satisfaction..Never give in if you believe your right!

I have driven my 2008 model for 130K over 6 years and never had any whirring noises. Mine is also so quiet that the motor is practically silent when stopped at the traffic lights. The only undue noise I hear is when the clips on that lightweight plastic tray under the engine give way, and it drags on the road!

Go back to them and make some more noise if I were you.

Ask to take a couple of other 2016 models for a test and see how they react.

Could be something with the new transmission I couldn't say for sure as I'm not up to speed on the latest range.

Aurions by nature should be a very well sorted vehicle by this time and the evolution should dictate a better car than the previous models.

Keep on their back and don't suffer fools gladly .

Their could be an issue with the new transmissions looming here like the pathetic sticky dash issue of the 40 and camry variants.

Mechanics are told what to say, so If I were you ,  take it up with management and make them sweat.

Let us know how you get on .

This is so true . I waas told on 3 occasions when I was at the dealership that my rapidly melting dash was the only one of it's kind and was due to something I had done to it . Turns out they were selling the same cool-aid across the country .
