I'm looking at getting my '01 Corolla lowered but i cant seem to find any websites locally or any businesses around illawarra that do springs & installation. if anyone knows of anywhere, or where they got their's done, any info would be great

Considered doing it yourself?  Lowering springs can be bought from a multitude of places including most auto parts stores, eBay etc etc, and if you've got a mate with spring compressors then the job can easily be done at home with only basic tools (jack/chassis stands, socket set, maybe a breaker bar).

If you aren't capable or able to do it at home then any mechanic can do it, it's not a specialised job.

i'm going to Pedders next weekend for a safety check, i was going to ask them about it, but the springs they have on their website don't mention how much of a drop they offer, but i wanna stay above the 50 mil drop so i don't need to get an engineers cert

I would be cautious of the diagnosis that you are given by Pedders.

I would be getting a second opinion from a well established suspension specialist shop e.g. Fulcrum Suspension

After a telephone conversation about Pedders Springs [not going to mention any further details], I would avoid their standard range. Their website gives the impression that Pedders has their own manufacturing facility but no specifics provided.

I have previously used standard height heavy duty King Springs and am highly confident of their quality. So best to stick with a proven quality manufacturer. King Springs guarantee their product so have a look at their website for details and they are located on the Gold Coast Qld.
