High idle when warm

Hi new to this forum. I have recently bought a 2004 corolla sportivo. When I first start the car it idled around 950 rpm. As soon as it is warm it idles at 2000rpm.  What are your recommendations?

I would start with checking the accelerator cable assuming it has one. Next would be cleaning the Mass Air Flow sensor and throttle body. Also check/clean/replace the air filter. Further down the list would be to consider a clean of the fuel injectors.

Thank you, I will check and clean and see how I go. Also I noticed the battery is indicating that it needs recharging. Apparently it's only a couple of months old but as the old owner said he has only done 4,000 kms in the last 2 yrs. Most of that time it was sitting in a garage.

Good pick up with the battery. If possible, check the water levels in the battery cells then recharge the battery.
