My friends new car has an occasionally  jamming ign lock.    if it's factory  warranty, does a dealer have to be involved?    driver might have been rough on key, will get key measured by locksmith  to see if in tolerance.     any other ideas?

I occasionally spray WD40 on my key to help lubricate the ignition and door locks.

Use ONLY dry lube for lock tumblers--prevents formation of abrasive paste, but tks.

What do you mean by dry lube, fks. Which product can be used?

Something like graphite/lead I'm assuming.
