rear wheel arch hole covers (3rd row seats removed)

I've removed my Fortuner's 3rd row seats to make more room for luggage etc. when travelling. This left largish holes in the wheel arches' cover panels.

The local Toyota dealer says covers for those holes aren't available in Aust. Has anyone else found and/or resolved this issue?

Hi Keith, I suspect that part your looking for is most likely not available anywhere. I would go as far as saying that Toyota never went to any length or cost to make such a part as the 3rd row seat would most likely never be removed normally. You can try Toyota abroad to see if such an item exists but I doubt you will find any joy there either.

You can always go to Clark rubber and get some Grey foam and push it into the hole there. Quick fix.

Same Comment here as Tony,Keith I am almost positive you will not find covers for those holes, Toyota thinking would have been why would anyone remove the seats, I do hope you get it sorted as holes sitting open is always a great place for dust and crap to accumulate let alone water

Hi Keith

I have the same problem

Did you manage to find something that looks decent?

I imagine the seats would get removed regularly. They’re only good for small kids, they create a blind spot when folded up and they’re bulky.

BOOXE GAP CAPs for Toyota Fortuners (2016-present models)

Moulded from tough ABS, BOOXE GAP CAPs clip in easily to close the gaping holes left in both wheel arches after the boot seats have been removed in the Toyota Fortuner (2016-present models). They’re solid and steadfast and are made of the same material as the wheel arch cover so are seamlessly concealed and inconspicuous. Exclusively designed and made in South Africa. Easy to insert and easy to remove.

Very expensive. I guess if you had the time you could try and make them yourself.

I have purchased the rear seat hole covers for my 2024 fortuner and I am very pleased with them. It comes with all the necessary fixings. The plastic finish is a little different but it's ok. Very happy with the service as well. Nautia engineering in WA.

I ordered the Booxe Gap Caps from South Africa. Way better quality than the ones from Nautica. A little more expensive but looks way better installed.

FYI one 3rd row seat weighs 15.4kg's that's a weight saving of nearly 31kgs with both removed.
