In a 4WD?

Come on.. what's wrong with the manufacturers these days!

As if anyone's gonna use that offroad.

It's what the market demands.

Wealthy people want tractors with poke, so they have the BMW X5 5.0, The Coming Porsche Cayenne Turbo S, Range Rover Sport, formally the Merc AMG ML55 now replaced by the ML63. VW also have the Toureg with the V10 TDI which is a brute, and the upcoming Audi as well.

Remember these customers usually have a Porsche, Ferrari etc already in the garage, so they want their everyday car to have lots of go too. If they can afford it, why not :)

finally,

got the news.

nope AMG only going to make it 510hp (apporx. 380KW) AMG 6.3-litre V8-engine.

0-100 in 5sec, pretty quick for a 4WD that weigh nearly 2 Tonnes.

MAX SPEED: 250km/hr (electronically limited)

The AMG 6.3-litre V8-engine generates 510 hpat 6800 rpm and a maximum torque of 630 Nm at 5200 rpm. This makes the new AMG powerpack the world’s most powerful naturally aspirated eight-cylinder engine in regular production.

damn....i was hoping to be around 900hp
