need some advice how much this car costs. Also how much I can negotiate with dealer. Online price shows about 50000

With wait times of at least 6 months, on the Cruiser Hybrid in particular, I found that there was zero haggle room. Some dealers on Carsales are advertising as "Used Cars" (with only a few hundred Ks on then) the same car as the one I ordered at up to $8000 more than my contracted price. My guess is that these are cancelled orders and instead of passing them down the que, the dealer has shifted them sideways to their used car lot. In this madness a discount is very unlikely. You may find some limited joy by contracting a Broker.

I picked up my Cruiser Hybrid end of February.  Absolutely no haggle room when I ordered it last year and total on road was just under 52K.

Picked up a cancelled order for a GXL at end of April, due for delivery mid July. Ordered a few exra's, managed $1800 off, still came out to $49000.

That's what I'm paying as well, though it's 10 months away now.

It could be worse. Apparently in the US people are ordering a car and finding when it arrives that the dealer has jacked the price up 5 K. Possibly they didnt put down a deposit. But one thing is for sure. If you want to just buy a new one with no hassle you have a 12 month + wait unless generally a. you can buy a demonstrator, b. you are willing to buy a second hand one with a 10 K mark up, c. you are really lucky.

We were lucky and ordered in Sept 2020 whence it only took 7 months after repeated delays. I think early in the pandemic demand was down a bit still.....and our old car was about to die whence we didnt want to throw good money after bad just to get it reregistered. If you are in that situation paying a premium might be worth it hateful as that would be.

I really feel sorry for people wanting to buy a new car being told you have to wait 12 to 18 mths and have to put down a deposit too.

When I got my Hybrid Cruiser AWD, I was told it would be up to 6 months wait but i only got it after 3 and half months wait. Ordered before Christmas 2020. Picked up April 23rd 2021 the day W.A. went into lockdown.  Also the same day double points came into play cos it was Anzac weekend. 

I am loving my Cruiser and am its now 7000+kms on odo already (9 month suspended licence cos of the double points which I lost all my points for speeding quickly home) since March 2022. It's now ready for December's long road trip up north.
