2008 Toyota Estima 56086 Head unit

Hi guys

            Just bought a 2008 Estima for the missus. Has anyone been able to change the language setting from Japanese to English?

Tried to play a CD and it wouldn't play and then it won't eject the disc!

If I have to replace the in-dash unit? Can I order a replacement from Toyota Australia?

I'm sorry to say but it's malfunctioned. If it won't eject the CD then bin it. I'd be very reluctant to throw Toyota any amount for a factory head unit because they are rubbish to be honest, and if you could get one, the price would be horrendous.

I'd ty looking for a good 2nd hand one or get a quality, name brand replacement that will fit your dimensions.

As part of My due diligence before buying you can generally replace the factory unit with an Android one for $300-$2000 and  wiring adapters from about $120-$300 depending where you buy it !

Does anyone know if the fuel efficiency data and other things will be affected when the head unit is changed for an after market stereo?

No......it shouldn't have any effect.....the only thing it does will put a smile on your face.

Where do i get a harness to fit the 2010 estima G import? its a JBL
