Gunk all over wiring harness and in connectors

Hi,

Can anyone tell me what this is? I’ve got a 99 Hilux 2WD and it’s all through the engine bay and under the dash.

The buildup in the diagnostic connector is what the others look like when broken off.

Looks nasty in there. Can't make out what the first picture is supposed to be, but it looks like corrsion of some sort, I think.

Second picture is a litte unclear and can't mae any determination there either.

The final pic looks like some creature has been nesting in there. Have you tried to dig it all out ? Or is it possible somone put some cotton swabs in there to protect from the horrendous corrosion going on in there ?

Your firewall is rusted to buggery too. You sure that car is even roadworthy ?

I reckon thats old Denso tape someones tried to waterproof the connectors and fuse box  ,rip it out get some wax and grease remover to clean them up
