1999 fzfe 4.5 engine running no idle

i own a 1999 Toyota Landcruiser, i recently had the cylinder head repaired as overhauled.

Now the engine light has come and its running rough and not idling

i recently had the cylinder head o/hauled refitted and ran smooth with no issues till yesterday, the engine light come on  and shutdown.

Hi Reg. Did you contact whoever did the work ? It's possible they may have missed something or something may have just broken after the fact. Sounds like it could have a vacuum leak somewhere or an electrical gremlin.
Cylinder head overhaul involves the removal of many, many, many items. Electrical and plumbing. It's possible a vacuum line may have cracked after being disturbed or perhaps an electrical connection isn't making good contact. 1999 model car will most likely have rubber tubing or hoses at the end of their life cycle and you may have one or more in a perished state.

If you are able to get the ECU scanned for error codes, that would be a good start, but not always Gospel. You need to carefully look around the top end with a bright LED light and check everything that was disconnected prior to the removal of the cylinder head.
