Central locking issue

Hey Shaun, the fuse would have nothing to do with activating the lock function alone. It's there to protect the whole circuit so if your doors unlock, then the fuse is good. If you had nothing going on then yes, I'd check the fuse first up, because it will interrupt the power supply to the circuit is it's shorted out.

So you say it will unlock with the key and the fob, but did you also try to lock it with just the key and it still won't lock did you say ??

Hi Tony

Thanks for that.

Yeh the doors will not centrally lock via remote of drivers door key

I have done some reading and the door control reciever maybe the culprit

Your thoughs

Hi All

thanks for your input.  I have spoken to a few more qualified experts and I thought you may like their expert advise for future enquiries.

I haven't repaired this yet but I will update this post once I have tried the following.

Advise:  'replace the drivers door lock assembly,  it controls the signal to the other doors to open and or close from the remote sensor'

it makes sense, so I will give it go.

Watch this space

Cheer

Shaun
