ok my new pioneer is in my stivo and with the stock stivo speakers it sounds junk. Went down to my local car audio guy and he tried to sell me a set of mb quart splits for the front (RVF 216 i think) and 5.25 for the rears. I wanted a amp so he reccomended rockford fosgate (T8004 OR P8004).

Is this a good combo? I will be getting a sub later but for now il run all four off the amp then later front and sub off amp and rears off the hu. Just for the splits and amp was like $850!!! Is this price any good? I havent had decent car audio in years so i wouldnt know the market anymore.

Ahh the new RVF series. There's been a lot of talk about the new reference series. Lot of good things. MB Quart make some of the best car speakers IMO. Up there with the likes of Focal, Rainbow, Digital Designs, Boston Acoustic, Hertz and Morel. They also make brilliant speakers.

Not too sure about coupling it with a T8004. Although they are an extremely well built amp, I think they wouldn't push those sweet Quart's to their full potential. Try looking into the MB Quart RAA2400 2channel and MB Quart RAA1000 mono (down the track). They would be a perfect match for your speakers.

Also check out Audison, Alpine, Digital Designs, Memphis Bell, JL Audio and Pheonix Gold for amps as well.

i liek the rainbow splits .. i wouldnt bother with rear speakers - get a good front stage and amp and then get a decent sub and amp .. run the rear stock off the HU and that would sound awesome

yeah i was thinking about keeping the originals in the rear and just getting a good split, sub combo and amp to boot. I heard good things about mb quart so i might stick with that choice but for amps im still looking around i want a good 4 channel. My sub wont be big i had 10" JL in my prelude and that was enough for me.
