Their stock car seemed to only have LIFT kick in at 6700rpm and redlines at 8400rpm  something wrong there..

Thats where lift kicks in on the Matrix &/or Corolla in America. Its slightly different between the years of production, but I don't know it off hand.

If thats true it sucks big time for those guys having only a 1700rpm LIFT power band

that wont last long...

also there stock tune is crap to say the least..possibly makes the gains look more impressive..is the SAE reading one of this "in ideal conditions" type readings, looks good, now much to make it work over here....

Dylan, i only just read the location now....

I wont get a chance to go there this week because im going to adelaide, i might give them a call and see if they work weekends

Edit

I gave the guy a ring, he doesnt do the selling - i would have to contact singapore to find out the price and other bits and pieces

He did say that he could potentially do the install and tune, didnt sound too keen

Nah, go POWER FC guys if yous are looking into ECU tuning, proven to work in Japan, USA and locally. Like Northy said 8700 redline the engine will pop in no time. <_< 8400-8500rpm is max for stock internals to last.

does this mean... the guys made the Lift kick in early to suit ur gear ratios so when u change gear u still land in LIFT...?

on my runx, the default for lift to kick in is 6000 RPM, redline is ~8300(havent actually checked it, but its about there), and lift disengages at 5700 RPM.

I've never had a problem with it "dropping out of lift" when I'm "driving it like I stole it", but during normal driving, I hardly ever hit lift... maybe I'm getting old.

Correct the reading is SAE corrected......meaning the car is more than likely making more power than shown....SAE rounds the number down. And it should be noted that down in P.R. I'm sure the dyno conditions were hot and Humid..

Much like Dyno and acceleration tests done in Southern California, they hardly represent "Real World" conditions, as the temps are always high, and road conditions are dusty and windy, that's what you get for building a track in the middle of the desert.
