Toyota avensis Head gasket leak and replacement

the head gasket has a coolant leak into cylinder. NO water in OIL...very clean with head cover off. BUT getting head off without removing the block is a night mare.

Toyota Avensis verso 2003.  Any suggestions? please.

Intake manifold and timing chain assembly cover is very tight to frame will be difficult to remove, even if I get intake manifold off. I think there are tubes coming of intake manifold, so that could be trouble too. I don't know. See pics. i am almost there....just the manifold and cover assembly and the rest should be easy.

thanks
